DESCRIPTION:Why it’s important:\n Children in kindergarten need to be able to listen to and follow directions from teachers and other adults. This skill supports safety\, learning\, and participation in daily routines. \nHow to do it:\n Give simple directions throughout the day\, such as “Please put your shoes by the door” or “Bring me your book.” Start with one-step directions and gradually increase to two steps. Offer praise when your child follows through. \nWhat to look for: \n\nResponds to directions without repeated prompts\nCompletes tasks as asked\nShows improved listening skills\n\n
