DESCRIPTION:Why it’s important:\nIn kindergarten\, children are expected to sit and participate during group lessons\, circle time\, and independent work. Building the ability to sit and focus for longer periods helps children engage in learning and follow along with classroom instruction. \nHow to do it:\nSet up a short activity such as coloring\, puzzles\, or listening to a story. Start with about 10 minutes and gradually increase the time. Stay nearby to support\, but encourage your child to remain engaged in the activity. \nWhat to look for: \n\nStays seated for the duration of the activity\nRemains engaged with minimal redirection\nBuilds stamina over time
