SUMMARY:Outdoor Play & Learning Environment
DESCRIPTION:Formerly known as Playground Safety\n\n\nYoung children spend many of their working hours in early education programs. Outdoor play for children encourages movement and physical activity stimulates children’s learning. Children learn by exploration\, so outdoor spaces must be designed in such a way that children can test their abilities in a challenging yet safe environment. Attend this learning event for the 4-hour Playground Safety course approved by the NC DCDEE and address playground safety hazards\, playground supervision\, maintenance and general upkeep of the outdoor learning environment\, and age and developmentally appropriate playground materials and equipment. \n \nThis is a virtual -live\, instructor led version of the 4 hour Playground Safety course that is approved by the NC DCDEE. \n \nParticipants will attend 3 hours online and complete 1 hour of assignments on their own time that are submitted to the instructors within one week following the course in order to receive the 4 CHC.
