Educator Resources
for Early Childhood EducatorsEducator Spotlight
This quarterly spotlight recognizes an outstanding early educator whose dedication and passion positively influence the growth and development of our littlest learners. Thank you to our early educators for going above and beyond to nurture and inspire young children daily!
Nancy Lawson
“I have always loved working with children. Although I once planned to become a NICU nurse, enrolling in the NC Early Childhood Credentials program in high school helped me discover my true passion for teaching preschool. After graduating in 1995, I taught until 2000, then became a stay-at-home mother and later homeschooled my children. In 2022, after my youngest child graduated, I returned to the classroom and felt right at home.”
Nancy’s philosophy is that she is never too old to learn and bring fresh knowledge into the classroom.
In her free time, Nancy enjoys traveling, swimming, and baking. She is also the Worship Director for a local church which is where she indulges in her other passions, singing and leading worship!
